The HPA National Arena Championships are still taking place at the moment. Sadly the 12 goal Vaux Park Polo Team have suffered a few losses but certainly played outstandingly. Sadly luck was against them on the days as only a few goals stood between the teams.

Next week I am off to watch the Ladies Arena Tournament and to support another team consisting of Helen Goddard-Watts, Hayley Hyde Andrews and Diana Jack. It's good to support women's polo and I know spectators would be appreciated. This will take place at the Ascot Polo Club, only a short drive from London.

I am sadly moving away from Vaux closer to the big smoke to a new up and coming club called Lacey Green www.laceygreenpoloclub.com in Bucks. I start as Polo Manager there this summer and am greatly looking forward to the challenge. It will be sad to leave Vaux Park, but they appear to be thriving despite the economic climate and hopefully I shall keep in touch with all the good friends that I've made there. Perhaps they'll even come up for a tournament or two.

Today I took my horse out for it's second ride since the summer. It appears to be so far from being a polo pony it's hard to believe that it'll be playing chukkas in a month. We had to ride them bareback due to the fact that none of their girths will do up over their huge grass bellies. I'll have to turn her back into being a sleek thoroughbred before I start to sell her. I'll report back next week with news of the finals of the Arena Nationals and hopefully will some good news about the Ladies tournament.
