It’s all about Princesses of.. |
Halellulah! It’s been a week for celebrating.. I got my cast off and finished doing the returns for the Donkeyboy video! A big relief on both counts- firstly people now don’t realise I have an iffy wrist and hopefully will not harass me too much about the amount of things I am carrying! (It’s work folks) and, as I went over budget on the video, I have at last taken everything I could back and don’t have suspect eighties disco gear lying around clogging up my flat!
Still not a good idea to play netball for six weeks, so I will have to find something else to use my energy.. I am hoping to have some reflexology and a hand massage to get rid of all the dry skin for a bit of pampering! One of my new years resolutions is to treat myself more! As well as go to Italy- be that on business or pleasure!
I have actually been really nesty this week and as I have had a couple of days to spend at home, have had a bit of a spring clean and I bought a fabulous retro print for the bathroom and some gorgeous tangerine wine glasses- for my fantasy dinner parties! They will take place, but probably after fashion week now. I’ll have to get the girls together to show them my new haircut (again!)
On the subject of Fashion Week, I got a call from the lovely folk at Felicities who asked me if I would be interested in styling one of their clients- the extremely talented Saffron Knight’s, “Princesses of the Knight” show this season. Of course I said yes and we set up a meeting; In person she has a personality as big as her designs and from a styling point of view, it should be lots of fun to do! The next hurdle is sourcing shoes as I am very definite about what I want but I’ve put the feelers out so watch this space. Three weeks is plenty of time (ha!) I am also hoping to use an amazing gloves designer I met and used for the Ambitions video; Next step is chatting to the hair and make up team to see if our idea of wigs will work… It’s going to be a good show and Saffron already has interest from Browns Focus! For any ticket requests, please get in touch.
I have been dipping my fingers into another magazine this week too as I got an email from a fashion journalist from Spain I met last season at Fashion Week who has asked me to be a “Fashion Expert” and provide my top tips for shopping in London. I am not sure when the issue will be out but I’m sure my tips will go down a treat!
Got more commercial work next week after a flying visit to Wales for my nieces birthday and then a meeting about a shoot with Jamie Cullum, which is very exciting. Apparently his management wants him to have a bit of an image change- and I think I can certainly do something about that with all the fabulous menswear out at the mo! As he is on honeymoon at the moment, no dates are definite but I will be working with fabulous photographer Alistair Guy and we made preliminary plans over tea and cakes at my new favourite meeting spot- Maison Bertei on Greek Street.
So will lots of things in the pipeline and all my receipts, spreadsheets and paperwork filed neatly away for another year.. I can get on with the treats.. now who can recommend a masseuse?
