Less than two weeks til fashio..

I can’t believe that now January is over, the days seem to be flying by- before we know it, it’ll be mid Feb and the start of the fashion circus! Unfortunately I can’t make it to New York for Fashion Week this season as I am just too busy, but I will try for September; That is as well as my fantasy holiday to Italy and my plan to go to a music festival in Croatia and there was some alcohol fuelled promise to go to Kerela too!! Watch this space is all I can say.

Last week involved a flying visit to Wales to do my auntie duties- with my new wrist- I certainly was the most popular girl on the block! But it wasn’t all fun as I had to source for my Warner promo on Thursday too.. The budget was in my bank , so I was free to hit the shops, but Swansea is not renowned for its designer stores. I managed to pick up a few fab pieces in the very reasonable charity shops (run by grannies no less, with one pound rails!!!!)  But I saved the big purchases for my early return to London.

The brief involved sourcing a white suit and I was lucky enough to discover Social Suicide on Ganton Street, W1- not only did I find a selection in the sale, they were also using a fabulous off white with black trim in their new collection which they were happy to lend out to me! Thanks guys, I will be back!

So sourcing completed I headed home for my early start on Thursday. Getting to Camberwell by 9am meant I was due a long day, but that is my own fault for being a social butterfly, as after the shoot I headed off to the gorgeous Darkroom Store on Lambs Conduit Street where they were throwing a fundraiser and selling specially commissioned artwork to raise money for Haiti. With such a crowd of beautiful people, and amazing original pieces of art I have no doubt that lots got sold.

I also met up with lovely Ryan from Cube and my favourite fashion photographer Christopher Sims, who I kidnapped and took to the after party for Danny Dyers new film “Malice in Wonderland”. I’ve not seen the film but apparently it went down well but I did get to stand near (!!) to DD as I got fast tracked through the queue, as I know Lara one of the organisers. More champagne and cocktails were consumed as we danced the night away. But I did manage to navigate the bus to Victoria and catch the midnight train home!!

Feeling slightly worse for wear the next day meant my admin took a lot longer than usual! But I would like to say a big thank you to Martin at the printers who couldn’t work my usb stick but managed to copy everything from my laptop.. Phew! I need those prints for an agency meeting on Tuesday…

Next mission was a blow regarding the designer shoes I was hoping for, but ever resilient I have a plan B.. And another meeting with Saffron Knight on Monday means that we can start casting. I am now juggling a few projects, as I have to squeeze in Jamie Cullum when he gets back from his honeymoon- hope that shoot isn't scheduled for the same day as the show!!
