Top 5 London Bars

Long Bar at the Sanderson Hotel

The perennially chic Sanderson Hotel houses the Long Bar at 80-feet in length and made from onyx. The contemporary hotel houses a range of bars, but the Long Bar aesthetically the most impressive. The bar is a visual feast with its unique design and seasonally changing cocktail menu. Guests may also enjoy a selection of mezze, charcuterie plates and burgers. An A-list haunt with exquisite decor and a great place for people watching!

SOS Bar

SOS stands for Smiths of Smithfield and represents London as an urban metropolis. The design is industrial and spacious with multiple floors. The first floor is a champagne cocktail bar and the second is a high-end restaurant. Great place for mid week drinks or an evening meal but be warned, it gets very busy during the weekend.

Whisky Mist

This whisky bar is a London institution, which has replaced Zeta bar in the Hilton, Park Lane. It is a popular nightspot, frequented by Royals, and business men alike. Whisky Mist is responsible for making drinking whisky sexy again!

35 Hertford Street, Mayfair, W1J 7SD

Portobello Star

The Portobello Star opens on Saturday afternoons to capitalise on the throngs of tourists who have come to browse the antique stalls. Here you can get decent coffee and homemade chocolate brownies. However the small bar really comes alive at night where you can get a vast selection of cocktails expertly made by friendly barmen! The Sally Cinnamon comes recommended and they make a mean Rhum Old Fashioned.

171 Portobello Road, Notting Hill, W11 2DY

Collection

The Collection is legendary for the catwalk like walk-way leading into the venue, making you feel glamorous and beautiful upon entry. The restaurant/bar is uniquely spacious for its sought-after location in South Kensington where nightspots are traditionally on the small side. Head up to the mezzanine level to dine or soak up the great atmosphere and have a dance downstairs.
